Winter Stormy Day

I went out for a walk today, after rounding on my patients in the hospital. The smell of winter was in the wind, freezing my nostrils. The weather is wild and stormy and snowy, lovely with brisk winds at 30mph and gusts to 40 mph. The waves were rough and the seas are high. There were seagulls flying into the seawind, which is always beautiful! I could barely see, because of the winds and the pelting snow, but it was a nice work out walking into the wind. :) As my friend, Sarah once taught me, the best way to enjoy it here in Alaska is to embrace it. :)

Winter construction destruction site. Winter in Alaska is not an easy time to do construction…

Perfect song for the day: Storm Comin’ by the Wailin’ Jennys :)
