Saturday: A wonderful day off (except for rounding on one patient), went to Salmon Lake with Guy.
No road maintenance beyond this point warning.
The Tundra calls:
We were bundled up, ready for anything in this extreme harsh, environment. 😉 But we also talked about how Alaska kids would be out here in shorts and t-shirts.
One excited girl~to be outside!!!
This is what we saw today:
Guy on the tundra:
Fall Into Winter:
Trying to do yoga on a peaked rock in big thick boots. It’s not as grounding as barefoot!
It still makes me happy and feel refreshed!
The Grand Central River Valley below:
We saw lots of animal tracks. Not sure what they belong to, but I’m not sure I wanted to find out…at least then. They look like big cats paws and maybe rabbit paw prints (?). And I know there are lynx in these parts (because they are in the glass case in the hospital):
Shadows: I can’t believe this weather and this splendid sunset!
I love this view!
Sunset with Guy:
It just got more colorful:
And on the way back, we saw these kids jumping off the bridge into the partially iced-over river!
Grand Central River, empties into Salmon Lake:
You couldn’t pay me to jump in this! That would be a true Arctic Tundra Adventure!
