Happy Holidays!

It has been a wonderful week! I got to go home for the holidays~where we celebrated Thanksgiving/Christmas/New Year and Birthdays/Anniversaries. 🙂 Since my sisters are in the medical field, it’s hard to get many holidays off, especially together. To get this deal, I asked for it off before I signed my contract. There were a lot of coworkers from the hospital on the plane from and to Nome, who asked with incredulity “So they let you out, eh?”  😉 And there’s a good chance they wouldn’t have if I had not pre-asked for it.

Our lovely sparkly tree. (The tree is kind of bare, because the babies kept grabbing the ornaments off the tree every time we carried them by).

PS
I have to give a shout out to the Saturn, which died just before Thanksgiving with 230,000 miles. This car has been driven by every one in the family, and I had it for the last 7 years out of the 16 years it has been in the family. During medical school, the mechanic in Chicago told me it wouldn’t last out of the city, but then I drove it Denver and back to Minneapolis! So tragic a loss, but a life well lived.
