My husband and I went out for an afternoon sunset flight one winter afternoon. We flew out toward the Kigluaik mountain range, a few minutes north of Nome.
Golden light, early afternoon sunset.
We flew out toward Serpentine Hot springs just to see it. This picture doesn’t even begin to capture the magical beauty of the hot springs steam rising over the frozen landscape, in pastel winter light.
These peaks are just gorgeous!
Biking on the Bering Sea with my friend, Robin Child!
Robin and fat bike. I love the shadows on the sea ice. 🙂
Bike, Bering Sea, Sea ice. Over this landscape, there is so much quiet and stillness and simple beauty. This. is how to slow down and breathe.
